As the new fiscal year approaches, dramatic changes continue to transform the face of Northern Kentucky University campus.  The completion of the new student union and the Bank of Kentucky Arena will allow Northern Kentucky University to remain competitive with other top universities in Kentucky. 

Parking Services in a continuing effort to improve service to the university community has made strides to adapt to these changes.  The new Welcome Center Garage will provide an additional 1000 spaces to ease the parking demand on campus.  This garage will be available to faculty, staff, and students and will serve as the primary parking area for all visitor parking.

It is important to note that the cost of construction, operation, and maintenance of parking facilities will come directly from the revenues generated by Parking Services.  Effective August 1, 2008, Parking Services will implement a $2.00 a month increase in permit rates.  If you are currently payroll deducted you will retain the permit that you currently have.

 All visitors will be required to pay for parking when exiting the garage.  Departments interested in validating parking for their guests will need to visit our website at parking.nku.edu and submit a “validation stamp” request form starting June 16, 2008.  Departments will receive a reduced rate of $2.00 per day for guests staying beyond an hour.  Guests exiting the garage without the appropriate stamp will be charged the regular daily rate.  Handwritten departmental signatures will not be accepted.  The charges will be billed to you at the end of the month.  A copy of the new garage rates and parking permit fee schedule are listed below.
